Come to Daddy, Dropbox

Come to Daddy, Dropbox by merlinmann.
That floor-wiping sound you hear? That’s Dropbox violently swabbing the deck with iDisk and laughing maniacally.

Yep. You can now upgrade from (the free) 5GB option to over 50GB for 100 bucks a year. Truly seamless sync. Integrated into the Finder. Easy sharing. 128-bit encryption. Revisions and rollback for every file. Finder and web access that actually works. Features out the ass plus it’s crazy-stable (at least so far).

I deleted my iDisk this morning and plan to never look back. I encourage you to consider doing the same.

It really is the shit, isn't it? I've been working with SugarSync for a while (which is also quite worthy as an iDisk replacement) but I may move back to Dropbox now that space upgrades are available.

Ah, nice. I was wondering what it was when I got an invite. Sounds pretty solid and I'll definitely give it a try.

Got Neil and Neven to thank for this -- you were both TOTALLY right.

This has made me a happy fellow -- and renewed my faith in how "the little guy" can take a commodity service like S3 and add amazing value by making it feel seamless.

With no joy, I'll say that somebody at Apple should be embarrassed at how completely their lunch has been eaten by this little application.
