YLNT is Going "Web 2.0"

YLNT is Going "Web 2.0" by merlinmann.
From You Look Nice Today's Mailbag. If she writes back, this is going to be a hell of a show.

I smell SERIOUS dough here.

I hope it leverages our core competencies in the nascent CreamSicle vertical.

A saas project? I know "sass". And I certainly know "ass". I'm even familiar with "Saab".

But "SaaS"? You can't just make up words. Especially not what with the camel case. I just can't keep track of that.

It's weird because I'd worked as an intern at one place that did Software as a Solution, and another that had early luck with Services as a Sandwich, but I lost a shit-ton of investor money on a B2C play that focused on Special Sauce as a Spermicide (SSaaS).

I'm not going to lie to you: that shit was fucked up.

Update. Looks like we're in business.

As to why we're a good match:

> It was actually several episodes from 43folders concerning widgets that made me hope you might be interested.

Yes. Of course. Those widget episodes of 43 Folders. That's what she was thinking of.

Here's the great news re our content partnership:

>I've asked my supervisor for several bullet points he'd
like to be covered on [PRODUCT] and I should have them to you by
tomorrow.

Excellent. I'm very excited about where this relationship can take all of us. There's a lot of dynamism in the widget space, and we can help leverage that vis-a-vis our influence re podcastination and Limina Sub Rosa Corleone Matching Distributions, etc.

I think we're finally on our way, Fun Bunch; we're all going to be fucking rich.

Oh, Christ. I feel a little bit stupid because I'm just now realizing that this is all a little bit tongue-in-cheek and I think I may have made more of a connection with this lady than I had intended to. What I'm trying to say is that she seemed really nice and she types pretty and I don't get a lot of email, and I think I may have sort of legally signed over some or maybe all of the rights and ownership of our show. I'm not 100% positive, but we should be getting a whole shitload of amalgamated stationery products in the mail, as per our deal. Mostly greeting cards. Okay, all greeting cards, but for most major holidays. Okay, for one major holiday, something called Boxer Day, which I think they celebrate in Canada, and I think they have greeting cards for Boxer Day and we're going to be getting a whole shitload of them.

Material is material, Adam. Never apologize.

Unrelated: UPS dropped off some boxes for you last night. Pick them up any time.

Finally, someone is recognizing you for your widget evangelism.

BTW, did you get that cash gifting widget going? Let me know and I'll distribute to everyone in my address book.

Yes. We have received our assignment from her. Plus two followup emails.

What a classy industry.
