Wheel Of Fortune

Wheel Of Fortune by Meremail.
Brisbane decided to install their own London Eye at Southbank which is adjacent to the river and the CBD.

This one will be resident for 2 years. The London Eye is 135m high, this one is only 60m.

One thing that always annoyed me when I was on a ferris wheel, was that I seemed to spend more time stopping and starting while people got on and off, and only a very short time actually doing circuits.

Well Brisbane has a solution to that annoying problem. They are only installing 2 chairs on the wheel so you can get maximum enjoyment.

The London Eye has solved the stopping problem - it doesnt stop!
Pods are loaded whilst moving - admittedly moving very slowly.
Even with each pod holding 20 people queues are still a problem, or were last time I was there. You can have to wait over 2 hours at peak times.

A great perspective and crop, I really like the simple white against those blues in the sky. Grand job.

nice wide angle shot, 60m is still pretty high of the ground, especially if your swinging about in one of those chairs!

Great angle! I wonder how much it will cost? As much at least half the price of the London Eye :)

Great shot. Are they really not going to add any more chairs - I find that hilarious.

The rest of the chairs have been added since I took that shot about 2 weeks ago.
I drove past it during the week at night and the wheel is nicely lit up and would make a nice shot too.

I am not sure what the ticket price will be yet. Thanks for all the comments, I appreciate it.

Very nice angle.
I would probably never set foot in such devilish contraptions, but I appreciate their beauty. :)
Also - nice gradient on the sky.
