Necklaces

stunning:)
Thanks, it's my favourite part, too!
Necklaces by Melissa Maples.
At the bazaar.

You would not believe the hassle I had to endure for this simple shot... talk about suffering for the art.

Haha yeah, you're right... sadly this one was more like 90% aggravation. :-D

A curtain of colour, and really quite beautiful - although I think you should tell us what this suffering involved?

Haha, okay - remember, you asked for this:

The issue wasn't before the photo, but after. The woman running the jewellery stall (who wasn't present when I took the photo) suddenly came hurrying toward me from down the street, demanding that I buy something. She argued with me that buying something was "required" since I had taken a photo (on a public street, I might add). She actually grabbed my arm and wouldn't let go. I pointed out to her that I don't wear jewellery, and that even if I decided to start now, my tastes run toward the more... how shall I say... understated. So then she said, "oh, I see, so my jewellery is too gaudy for you to wear, but it's good enough for a photograph?"

Um... yes, actually. :-D

Was it worth the hassle, though?

I don't know, what's your opinion? :-) Yeah, I do like the shot. But I'm glad she hassled me after the fact, because otherwise I might not have gotten it. :-)
