a taste of white
This is just a sneak peek for Debbie and Daniel's first anniversary shoot. Debbie and I have been friends since even before I can remember, so it was a joy that when we commenced on the day of the shoot we were on the same page when it came to ideas. Knowing her tastes and what she liked really lent a great deal of help towards the final visualisation of the shoot.
This is just a taste of her all-white segment that was requested. White is her favourite "colour", although she always adds that it isn't techically a colour. And I always joke that it is, it has all the colours.
I also got to play with my new 85mm. I love the sharpness and how it holds steady, but the crop and closeness is something I have to get used to and work around. Not a lens ideal for small spaces.
More to come soon...

spice garden
Once again, their use of colours just dazzle you...
I couldn't help but be drawn to all their displays, and I had to get a photo even if I had to brave their touting.
I can't help but feel that the baskets are like blossoms opening up to the evening, beckoning unsuspecting tourists and ensnaring them in their bright-coloured charms.

baskets of spice
Just uploading the last couple photos from the night markets. Then I can finally be on to other things.
I nearly forgot how much fun shooting with the 50mm can be. Sure the way it's so light and how easy the moving parts move can be quite frustrating. But I'm still convinced it's one of the most cost-efficient lenses I've ever bought.

bracelet bokeh
2 for $1?
5 for $2?
You'll find these bracelets everywhere. Little kids will sell them to you at the entrance of the temples. They seem to line the streets of the market.
One thing I always appreciate, is their generosity with colour.

Wednesday Contact Showcase
Young. Beautiful. Brilliant.
When I first joined the group I was thinking of the few people I've been following quite closely on flickr and thinking of who I can showcase, so that their works can also be appreciate by others. Margo was one of the first ones that popped to mind. I love the way she fuses innovations with old beauty. There is a mood behind her photos that constantly haunts. I love the fact that most of her shots are natural too.
