Matt and I proudly held our signs we made last night in protest to the treatment of animals in the Shrine Circus. We had lots of negative and positive feed back. Many slander comments were made but we laughed and stayed strong. One woman said, "You should be holding anti abortion signs because children's happiness is more important than animals being killed". Her husband was a police officer. With his dog in his car. For at least two and a half hours. Before the circus even started. Yea. Fucking idiot. haha. Another man said "You should see the deer I killed this year, delicious, yum yum yum" while licking his fingers. heh. People didnt respect the fact that we ALL have the freedom of speech to say as we wish. They were shunning us as if we were wrong for simply holding our signs. Another man yelled out from his window that we were pathetic added to the list of many others using the same terms. When they walked past us, he took a photo of me with my sign in a joking way. Then the blow up giant shrine and clown guys came over and farted on us while another shrine snapped a photo and said "gotcha!" We laughed. Its really all you can do when youre surrounded by ignorant blind humans that deplete the value of animals just because they cant tell us in english how much we actually hurt them. I feel that today was a successful and productive day. Tomorrow we're off to do the same thing again.
