and just where do you think you're going?

and just where do you think you're going? by MegElizabeth_.
well, i got a little dressed up and planned on doing an elaborate clone shoot in the bathroom this evening. after hearing several showers on with other girls on the floor using them, i must admit i chickened out and didn't really want to be seen in such an outfit, in the bathroom, with my camera (for obvious reasons).

and that was when a brilliant idea hit me: THE TRASH ROOM. i was in flickr euphoria... the room was filled with cardboard boxes to use as tripods, and the lighting was even better than the bathroom! plus the fact, my outfit went perfectly with the decor.

oh, and no worries... the trash cans were recently emptied so luckily they were clean!

the meg on the right was when i heard a few people walking down the hall and dashed away quickly so i wouldn't be seen. somehow i don't think they'd understand what i was doing if they saw me posing by myself with the rubbish.

I don't use this much, or this may be a first, but ROFLMAO (that was hard). You are something else. I always feel self conscious when I have my camera out and there are people about... I guess I am not alone.

"well, i got a little dressed up and planned on doing an elaborate clone shoot in the bathroom this evening." - classic

"flickr euphoria" - why do I feel wrong when I know I have felt this...

"oh, and no worries... the trash cans were recently emptied so luckily they were clean!" - can't stop laughing

But the rule is if you're going to have the outfit in the closet, you gotta wear it with pride.

I know what ya mean for suffering for the art...who hasnt gotten their feet stuck in mud or have people saying...what the hell is that person taking a picture of.

Great shot.

Another interesting narrative. Left Meg looks up and identifies danger. The adult stress response is "fight or flight" but perhaps here you are showing a child's stress response options: Hide (middle Meg) or flight (right Meg.) It looks like you are making a decision on what to do next. Have you ever considered making one Meg the dominant Meg, and others with reduced opacity (maybe 80%) so they look a little ghostlike? Are you doing these clones in Photoshop and creating masks to create the multiple images?

piper: i got a haircut haha funny you noticed!
kevtis: hmm, good idea. i hadn't thought of that before. yes, i do use photoshop for my cloning, and i've found the easiest way to do it is just to lasso around the figure, copy and paste onto the other photo, and then clean it up and do alterations afterward.

thank you everyone for your comments!

Love the idea and the execution. You even found garbage bags that match your clothing. (I mean color wise!). Too bad the trash cans are too small to hide in, otherwiseI could imagine one Meg in a can with the lid on her head, just the eyes visible :-)

Of course you could always resize your clones as I often do.

flickr euphoria.. yes i've felt it. maybe we need a new noun here....

flickrphoria:: n. the emotion felt at the exact moment when you know the pic you're about to take or process will be just perfect for your most recently added flickr pic?
