Not to prod any sort of sibling rivalry or
anything, but I did see this today on the
front page of the guardian web site with your
sis listed with the photo cred. (!)

mintea - they had the correct info - I told
them it. they knew it wasn't my photo, I was
in the photo, I'm hardly going to claim to
have taken it! They knew who they were
supposed to credit, and have been made aware
not to use it again, in any other
circumstance - even with credit.

Anna - well yes it does seem rather obvious
that its not your photo, but only to someone
like me who has already seen it! (of course
it is very possible to take a photo with
yourself in it... the technology exists). I
just thought it was odd, and wanted Meg to
know. I'm not blaming you!
Why can't they use it again?

Because they shouldn't have miscredited it,
and it shouldn't leak into the general
library because it was only needed for that
one occasion
I'm very shy and ugly and unphotogenic and
don't let people take pictures of me often -
except my very wonderful sister sometimes -
so when they suddenly asked for a picture
that was 'me in San Francisco' I was very
short of options. I love this photo and it
was by far the best available - but I am
quite shy of people using one of me and my
partner anyway.
So I think it's ok probably for then it use
it with that story, as previously agreed with
the photographer - but never anything else.
I know you're not blaming me - I just feel
really bad that my sister went uncredited:
she's a very talented photographer and
deserves all the credit in the world, so I
feel really defensive if something's gone
wrong that I could have made go better.

I love this picture.
He didn't throw me in, but did cause me to end up with a soggy foot, the great tit.
But I love this picture so very much. Thank you.
