      does anyone know the origin of the columns? was this intended as a faux ruin or is this a remnant of a structure previously sited there? thanks

      They were donated from building in another town, if memory serves me correctly. I don't remember the exact details but I know they didn't originate in the park.

      That's a great shot, Keith!

      The columns came from the US Treasury Dept. headquarters building, after it was remodeled in the 1900's and were installed in the park around 1916 or so.
