Red Letter Day | Scarlet Oak leaves on Plane tree trunks | Land art

this is obviously a continuation of one of my favorite pieces Big Red Dragon. it was created in the same way, namely by tearing scarlet oak leaves apart, and then sticking them onto plane tree trunks with spit. I created all six of them on a grey, sunless day for a book i was working on that is now published by blurb (no i will not give a link -i'm not allowed to, but try searching blurb for 'landart'). the first three images on the left hand side were all created walking down the 'platanenallee' and the second batch, on the right hand side, walking down the 'Preussenallee'. I wanted to do a third batch of images, but i ran out of light.

created this one one misty morning while marin was fishing in the havel.

he didn't catch anything, and at the time i was disappointed with the outcome, but time heals all wounds, and i quite like it now. it is made of pine branches.
