Worm peep show

Bedding a.k.a. brown layer
dried leaves, shredded newspaper, straw are just a few examples
Green layer:
kitchen scraps, garden trimmings, coffee grounds, tea bags, whatever else you want to feed to worms
Finished compost a.k.a black gold
After a few months, I should be able to harvest this from my own bin.
Worm peep show by mdelemos.
Teaching tool used in the vermicomposting class. See the different layers of stuff? Check out the bottom-most layer... black gold is what that is!

Nice teaching aid. Once you get into vermicomposting it is addictive.

This box appears to be a home made wooden worm composting box made with a glass or plastic window in the side. Nice job. I may make one for myself. Please note it has a cover on the side to close the window since the worms do not like the light. Woo at Woo's Worms.
