This sign is from the Blockbuster Video store in Brookline, MA north of Coolidge Corner. Thanks for asking. The sign has been fixed. The customer service has not. :-)

I could have Photoshopped this, but I swear it's real. You can trust me.

Funny sign, and not far from the truth to boot. "Good"customer service at gas stations, fast food joints, etc. is becoming a rare thing...I mean really folks, how hard is it for the cashier to speak two words the whole transaction "thank you"..half the time I buy food or gas not a word is spoken to me. Sad.

I've seen this. It was on Harvard Ave. I remember seeing this photo (or maybe someone else's photo of the same thing) in the Weekly Dig a few months ago. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed this.

I work part-time at a "Lackluster Video" and we honestly DO try to be nice and helpful, but when we have customers who try to sign up for memberships without any more ID than what they were born with (we've actually had two people ask recently, in all seriousness, "Why do you need a membership to rent?"), parents who come shuffling in with their barefoot, hyper rugrats and let them run amuck through the store while they're staring aimlessly at the DVDs, people who get pissed when the price of a DVD gets charged to their debit card after they've had the movie out for SIX MONTHS and district managers who become obsessive compulsive over pushing the membership upgrades (similar to when McDonald's used to constantly harp, "You want fries with that?!") and will blatantly dick the employees out of promised bonuses for some convoluted reason, it gets REALLY difficult to keep smiling... (climbing down off my soapbox...)
