Mendocino, California — February 15, 2010
Thanks to the three-day weekend and the generous gift of a home to stay in, I was able to spend the weekend in Mendocino, on the north coast of California. Mendocino is a sleepy tourist town, but the location is beautiful. I wasn't able to take too many photographs, but this is one I am fond of. This is a walking path on a cliff over the sea near the Point Cabrillo light station, an old 1900s era light house. This is actually the view inland rather than toward the sea, as the coastal fog over the water was too thick to create a good photograph.
This is also one of my first photographs with my new Tokina 12-24mm wide angle lens. I'm still trying to get a feel for how to use the lens well. :)
You can also see a color version on my main website (link below) if you're interested.
[Oops -- I just noticed I have the wrong copyright date on the photograph. Oh well.]
