Happy Thanksgiving 2007

To all my Canuck friends - Happy Turkey Day on Monday! We celebrated with the kids today (Sunday) and it was great fun, not to mention mah-vellously yummy:

* Roast Turkey with fresh sage and rosemary
* Chestnut, Apple & Pumpernickel Dressing
* Garlic-Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes
* Steamed Green Beans with Dill
* Turkey-Onion Gravy with fresh herbs
* Sauteed Apples in a Brown Sugar/Cinnamon Sauce over Haagen-Daaz Vanilla Bean ice cream

@simplygeeky: Thanksgiving is always the 2nd Monday in October here in Canada. While Wikipedia has some back story on the history of Thanksgiving in Canada, most of us just think of it as a) harvest time, b) reason to give thanks and c) excuse to overstuff ourselves on turkey with all the trimmings. ;)
