Native wood pigeon in Kaitoke park Upper Hutt NZ. Apparently we were 4 late in coming to see them as the park ranger advised us. They had seen 104 birds in one tree 4 weeks ago!! Dang!!!

Unfortunately the picture does not show how fat these birds are or how clumsy they are or how they hang of for dear life as the wind blows the branches around they are perched on!
