I love the colors of spring. New growth abounds and with it, a refreshing spirit.
Soon, I will be moving about these places with hopes of renewing friendships
of same. I am one of those people that will visit places time and again because
I just feel......so "at home".

Go figure.

Flowers are so amazing to me. When you get up close and personal, you
allow yourself the privilege of being in good company. Perhaps it is looking
back at you with the same thoughts......perhaps.

Much of the time, when I am composing flower photographs, I do so
with the thought of converting a color image into a black and white
format. I realize that this look is not for everyone, but on my site I
get to set the standards......so I will choose this look for now :)

Note; I posted this last night, but flickr was painfully slow, so
I decided to repost this morning.

I love the deep cut shadows and the solitude of being in the Olympic mountains
in the wee morning hours. Watching everything wake up is incredibly rewarding.
Being the only person at Hurricane Ridge when this is happening is even better!

Summertime is soon upon us and I am still relishing the spring, but my heart is in
the Olympics and in particular the beautiful high country. Although a challenge to
get to much of the time, it holds so many pleasant surprises for those willing to work.
