We credit the tree two years ago, along with the sudden appearance of mountains of new toys, with shocking sustained speech into our older boy at just about the same age SG is now, I figure. Adam is bitterly disappointed that our tiny apartment is going treeless this year (there'll be a massive Martha Stewart job at Polish grandma's, however), so we went with minor decorations -- just as excited and happy.
