Goodbye 2008

When I realized I would not have time to take a suitable photograph with which to end the year 2008, I decided to reach deep into the archives.

I promised my friend Seth he'd eventually see these pictures, which were taken at the top of the Ute Trail, high above the town of Aspen, Colorado.

Seth is one of my best friends. Every time we get together, life seems to make just a bit more sense. And I thought this picture would be a fitting end to 2008. It's been one hell of a ride this year - ups, downs, free falls, soaring to new heights - things I never could have imagined one, two, or ten years ago.

Here's to hoping 2009 is just as eventful.
