Perspective

Perspective by mbshane.
In New York City, the roofs are often as busy as the streets. View it large and enjoy the details!

From Wikipedia:

The Flatiron Building, which when constructed was called the Fuller Building, was one of the tallest buildings in New York City upon its completion in 1902 and is considered to be one of the first skyscrapers. The building, at 175 Fifth Avenue in the borough of Manhattan, sits on a triangular island block at 23rd Street, Fifth Avenue, and Broadway, anchoring the south (downtown) end of Madison Square.

I liked it until I viewed it large - maybe you should hold the camera still next time

Needs to be in more groups I think. 31 just isn't enough to whore a mediocre photo like this around.

Ryan, I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. There's some ghosting on the street, but that's due to the multiple exposures. All the edges/buildings/etc. look good to me...

Automatt, you're an idiot! :-)

Is it tilted? Are the primary colours over-saturated? And as sandelion says?

It looks slightly tilted. Because of the placement of the flat iron building, it should be tilting left. If the F.I. building is the focus, maybe concentrating more on it by cropping in, and using the park in front of it to make a little bit of foreground interest.

I vote delete6.

So, I think this is an exceptional application of HDR, but the subject isn't moving for me (probably because it's a common city scene?). If there's one thing that comes close to saving it, it's the rich blues of those umbrellas -- don't let the monsters here tell you they're oversaturated, they rock.

Nice angle but otherwise nothing interesting in this photo, unless one have never seen or heard of NY.
