The maiko Kogiku and a geisha (of Gion Kobu) participate in Kyoto's famous festival of ages, dressed in traditional Heian period costume. Behind them,an older geisha looks on in kimono as another maiko snaps a quick shot with her ketai, or mobile phone.

The geiko on the right is Komari, and you can see Hiroko Tanaka, the okaasan of Tsurui in the midle
