My wife, son, and daughter are from Dallas, TX. We were heading home after a weekend at the lake in OK. We saw one car. Did not know what was going on. We continued to see cars. We turned around and followed them so we could get a closer look. Needless to say, my kids are awestruck and here we are. This should be promoted more to gain kids interest. Good Luck!!

Thanks, I was VERY disappointed in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area media coverage. Please voice that to your peers in Dallas, as you are correct, these things need to be promoted to help inspire our younger generation, it certainly does me, and I'm OLD.

hello! I am a 15 year old boy from IL.
I was with the solar team when the car was made, I was an intern there. I was interested in solar cars since i was small, when I got a chance to be an intern for my freshman biology Honors school project. I chose to intern there. I have to say, the students that made the car are great. They are very nice and very intelligent. Interning there was the best experiance ever! I had a chance to join the team on the race, but I wasnt able to go. But I still support Northwestern Uni! I watched them as they built the car, and helped out a little bit.

The car looks great team! Great job!

woot!

I've been on the NUSolar team for a year and it makes me so ecstatic to see it in action! You can read more about the car at nusolar.org/. The blog at nusolar.org/blog.php?first=0&length=3 will be updated throughout the race.

The video is so totally cool! I had no idea you guys drove these things on main roads and got passed by tanker trucks and such. What the heck does that feel like? Yeeesh! Anyway, way to go NU Solar! From an NU Solar "aunt" and NU alum, Barb

Thanks for your support!

I am one of the team leaders for Northwestern and it is incredible to find videos like yours! We had a great time traveling from Plano to Calgary, and we hope that getting the word out like you've done will inspire more people to become involved and build fleets of solar-powered cars.
