I'm glad you all like it! As to it being conceptual, it's not. I was playing in the backyard with the kids, 55mm micro and D40 over my shoulder, looking for bugs to photograph with one eye, the other eye trying to concentrate on whatever the kids were doing. I don't know how the clover got into the rain barrel with the fish. Maybe one of the kids was "feeding" him. Anyway, I saw it and thought it looked interesting enough to snap about 5 shots. In other words, it is about as far from a planned concept as you can get, as are almost all of my photographs. I've never been very good at planning photos. I'm more of a "react when I see it" sort of guy.

My 8 year old "feeder fish" died yesterday....after surviving for 7 years in a 2 gallon bowl...he only lasted 9 months in a 10 gallon tank...

My condolences, Basegrinder. This guy is a survivor of several years of urban racoon attacks in a 50 gallon rain barrel. He has a roomate who has survived in the same barrel for something like 5 years. They were feeders, too. I don't even feed them, they eat the mosquito larvae, and had to live under ice for periods of a few days a couple times this winter. I think he really does need a four leaf clover!
