Outfit courtesy of Goodwill.

The dress is by Seven Over Seven for Lord & Taylor. I will probably dye it--it's very sheer and there are some little tea-colored spots that I couldn't get out. In fact I may dye it using tea. Tell me if you've had any success with this.

Coral slip (okay, this came from a clothing swap and not Goodwill), my current favorite elastic raffia belt, and Born espadrilles.

I dig those shoes. I hope you'll try the tea-dyeing and post the results (assuming it goes well). The dress has great line and volume. ~patrick

That would look great dyed with tea! The only thing about tea is that it continues to come off after you've died it...That was my experience, but it could've just been the material I was using...it smelled GREAT too!=)
Lovely dress.

When I read about the tea spots, I thought I'd suggest dyeing with tea, but that was your next sentence. Hehe, so, I'd say go for it. Admittedly I haven't tried it myself, but it would be an awesome colour for this one, sort of like an old nightgown that's a bit yellowed.

Wonderful dress. I have never dyed clothes with tea - only paper in grade school when I wanted to make a map project look aged. Ha. And the belt is great!

I haven't dyed fabric with tea but I have dyed cotton and linen fabric with Dritz brand dye. I have used a few different colors. In my opinion the ecro color would give you the closest to a tea stained look.

If you have a porcelain tub you're all set. Just use a bucket or a dish basin in there. If you have one of those plastic-y tub or shower liners then make sure the water is running when you dump the dye bucket or it could stain your tub and/or shower. Just warning you about my bad bad bad experience with dying fabric at home :)
