Sunrise before driving home

She rolled in with a Roar!Wednesday evening our time was cut short due to a lightning and thunderstorm that moved in. It was truly beautiful. The smell changed just as quick as the lightning crackled. Rain hitting the dust and brush. The clouds were gorgeous but we needed to move out fast as we each were holding our own lightning rods (tripods). We had just finished shooting the inside of the Stamp Mill and came outside to a welcoming change of weather if you ask me. I thought the black and white looked best here with a touch of extra contrast.

Let there be light...Today was amazing. I shot just about 700 pictures and three more days to go. This is a shot from inside the Hotel, at the bar that caught my eye looking out at that beautiful blue sky, clouds and a building or two. Another early day to rise. Thanks for your patience dear flickr friends. I have so much catching up to do. I truly miss your daily images.

Sun setting at my backWhat a great full day in Bodie. Nice group of people. It sure is something else having time in this place alone. I'm exhausted, wind burned and need to get up at 4:30am tomorrow, I hope everyone had a nice Sunday.

Yes, mid July and still a bit of snow, love it!I stopped for lunch here at June Lake, CA before I made it to my final destination of Bridgeport. A long days drive and stunning views.
