We bought the remote modem, which cost like
$70 but is SOOO worth it. My husband uses his
laptop on the couch (in front of the TV, of
course). My daughter uses another one on the
dining room table, and I'm in my den or even
on the bed. With no wires except from the
wall to the remote modem. PLUS, you can print
remotely, too. No wire to the printer! Hey,
maybe Verizon's van ad is working; here I am
doing their marketing for them.

I hear ya. Have to admit my husband spent
over an hour on the phone with Verizon trying
to set it up. Somehow, his time doesn't
count...

If your husband came over and installed this
thing, I would GLADLY pay $70. That doesn't
seem an inordinate price. Although I live in
NYC so nothing shocks me anymore.
