The Kuala Lumpur Towers (Holga-ed)

Kuala Lumpur is a picturesque city, if you know where to look. With its tall buildings and ambitious mega projects, there's always something to shoot.

I tried framing with the Holga in this one. If there's one thing you learn, it's that most of the time, the Holga does whatever the hell it wants.

*no photoshop done, image was cross processed. I'm also taking a leaf from Coloumbic and will proceed to delete all image-only comments.

KL Clubbing Scene, Holga-ed

The clubbing scene is alive and well here in Kuala Lumpur, with each spot serving a different crowd, but these days they're still mostly dominated by Zouk. This obviously wasn't it.

I had my old nikon dslr with me and decided I'd meter with it. Having found out how long it'd take to make a decent exposure, I set the holga on bulb and counted down...manually.

OH Maaan.

It's been so long since I last posted, and after all these months, it feels great to be back on flickr again (where the coolest peeps hang)!!

Planning to post a host of new pics, starting with this one of two boats anchored in for the night in Perhentian Island.

P.S: I have jumped over to the dark side :D

Shoes Larouse

This was yet another shot which I personally liked from my Holga (though it is compositionally dubious~lol). Taken in the belly of one of the largest shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur, it features a 'small' section where designer shoes were sold.

You know, I must admit... the 'plastic-fantastic' camera surprises me all the time:)

Anyone else here uses a Holga?

Malaccan Foul Mouthed Buskers

Just like any other tourist spots, Malacca has quite a number of buskers.

This particular duo were pretty good singers and musicians, but had mouths as foul as angry sailors! Realizing that tourists were keener on snapping pictures and not tipping them, they unleashed a tirade of curses on us all.

Note: This is an unaltered shot with a Holga on B&W film.
