On the summit of Brown Pike, Lake District, overlooking Coniston Water. This unexpected blast of late winter sunshine was fantastic, and had me dashing around to get my photography equipment set up! It was nice to have such perfect wintry conditions (even though my fingers were numb)......

A fiery sunrise on the warmest October day ever recorded in UK history, with temperatures soaring to 29.9 degrees Celcius in some parts of the country. This is the summit of Giggleswick Scar in the Yorkshire Dales. To see the amazing view from near the summit, please click here.
