Biography (approx 100 words)
Matt Hanson is a film futurist; a writer and filmmaker described as an "International film visionary" by Screen International magazine. His current open source filmmaking project -- A Swarm of Angels (www.aswarmofangels.com) -- crowdsources the funding, creation, and distribution, of a feature film using the Internet and all-digital technologies. Previously he founded the massively influential onedotzero digital film festival in 1996 at the dawn of digital filmmaking, which he directed until 2002. He is the writer of a series of digital-age cinema books including The End of Celluloid, and Reinventing Music Video. A member of the Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, he lives in Brighton, England.
