#2 i like being able to pick out just the one i want to read instead of having to scroll past reviews i don't care about, not saying your aren't great, i'm just speaking in general terms.

They both look great; however, in this particular circumstance, I don't think anyone will be looking up a review, based on the summary. So, I'd go with the cases-only version. Much easier to find which one I'm looking for.

I like the approach you've taken with the right-hand version; should make for getting to the reviews very quickly, if like many of your readers you're familiar with what's doing the rounds in terms of cover art. That said, I'm also fond of the more typographic look on the left, though I'd be interested to see how it would look with the summaries truncated a bit!

I think what I'll end up doing, is sticking with the new layout (right), but add textual title, platform, and summary in a nice JS tooltip.

if your going with the cases approach might be nice to split them out by platform and then cronologically within each platform. helps keep the grid for each section since PS3 boxes for instance are shorter than the xbox ones. makes for a cleaner grid.

I think both are great and It would be cool to have a left one as default and small ICON in top right corner which would make the switch to right layout . It could be possible with some js. (Something you can see on youtube - right section)
