There's got to be some sort of conference you could use as an excuse for a visit, Cal. Iit might be held in the back room of a pub in Gastown, but there's got to be something. If not, I'm sure we could arrange some sort of CalConf09 where you could explain the more intricate details of the trifle metaphor. Or maybe just explain trifle, which confuses Canadians (until they taste it).

It was an invention of necessity: no way I could build something big enough to hold an 8x10, but I did have an old rigid suitcase and a drill...
