Money bin model

42 centimetres (16,5 inches)
Norwegian wood
Money bin model by oldemor.
A model of Uncle Scrooge's money bin, built by following Don Rosa's and Dan Shane's blueprints from the Don Rosa story "Beagle Boys Vs Money Bin."

The very first time we saw this form was (correct me if I'm wrong!) in the Barks story "Migrating Millions" from september 1956. Before this Barks had experimented with many types of bins, one bin odder than the other. You can see the "evolution" in these wonderful works of art by Don Rosa:

Hi, and thanks for stopping by! I figured shooting the model outside for a change was a nice idea, so I'm glad you like it.

Thanks! It's a cunning defense system. The cannon is made of Cernit clay, which hardens by heating.

Wow, if Barks were still alive, he'd be very proud of you.
By the way, did you sent theese pix to Keno?
What did he say?

Inui-san (cool name!) - Rosa actually saw the pics in 2003, and was very excited about them. Actually, he's responsible for sending them to the American editor of Uncle $crooge, John Clark, who in turn made the U$-article possible.
