American Express doing RSS!

I'm amazed at all the places I'm seeing RSS pop up these days. I suspect it is an email replacement for them since it's all promotional junk (there don't seem to be any feeds with sensitive financial info).

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

Yeah, my first thought was that it'd be great to track account activity, but I think the syndication world still has security issues to work out before that can happen.

as I was saying to someone about this -- you know how this happened. Somewhere in Amex HQ, some exec read a magazine article about Hot! New! RSS, issued an edict, and by the time it's filtered through 50 layers of corporate bullshit, all that's left is the spam. By that stage, the exec had probably already forgotten about it...
