It's easily cleaned and they say to check it out once a month. So I suppose with regular cleanings it should last forever.

Thats very nice ... pity we've now gone to Level 3 water restrictions and it means you can't have anything connected to a tap.

I got one of those spray pump bottles that you usually weed the garden with and attached that to the end of my system and I use "grey" water (buckets from the shower) to fill it up.

Nobody's water is clean enough. See for yourself, remove the aerator screen from any faucet and see what is in there. Many drip emitters are clogged by even a tiny grain of sand.
