moleskine sketch 008

After spending a couple of sessions doing "fast sketching", I decided to reward myself with doing "normal" sketching. Again, I used my own photographs as subjects.

I had no idea how to capture the feel of the leaves in this photo. This is a common problem for me. I felt very much the same about the gravel path (can you even see it?). Textures and I just don't get along. Sigh. Still, I have to say that I'm pretty happy with the result.

This was done in a pocket sketch Moleskine with a combination of Staedtler 0.5 and 0.1 pigment liners. Total time was probably about 30+ minutes.

@whitney waller: I love trees, and drawing/painting them has been, and continues to be a challenge. Thanks for your comment.
