Baby Fox tree squirrel, Mary Cummins

    Newer Older

Baby boy Fox tree squirrel, almost seven weeks old. Wildlife rehabilitation. His name was Gucci because his first home was in a Gucci shoe box. The woman who found him fed him her breast milk, through an eye dropper, of course. He was very healthy. She even gave him a little "to go" container of her pumped breast milk.

Your fox squirrels are different than ours in Florida. Our fox squirrels are called local as monkey squirrels. They stand almost 3 feet tall and are slow and sluggish. They are almost extinct from population growth and rednecks used to eat them like crazy back in the day. They are black and yellow.
