Pedro Diaz Morante in the seventeenth century witnessed an even
greater flow of engraved books of calligraphy containing a developed
Baroque form of chancery cursive.-
Morante was born at Alcazar de san Juan in 1565 and hi became an
official examiner of teachers of calligraphy.

What a treasure! Your excellent embroidery preserves this remarkable sampler of calligraphy from the past well.

Hello!
I am the admin for a budding group called 'Western Calligraphy and Lettering in the Early Modern Styles' :http://www.flickr.com/groups/1798506@N22/
This image is a great example of 17th century lettering in a neo-classical style, I would love it if you could add this photo to our group pool.
Thank you very much,
lozzic
