365.290 (prototype)

This little capelet was the first pattern that I ever wrote up and sold. :) I made one of them for a friend of mine, then another, then this one for me. I wore this to work at Knit Cafe one day and the customers were SO nice - everyone (it seemed) wanted to make one. We sold a lot of Kidsilk Haze that day! I wrote out the directions by hand over and over again all morning, and mid-day, Suzan (the owner) took me aside and said that if I wanted to write up the pattern, print it, and package it up, she would love to buy it from me, and we could sell them at the store. :) My first published pattern! (The photo I used in the pattern was a different capelet - a bright orange one, modeled by Jacob's sister Kuma.)

It was really fun to get to see how many different yarns people would choose when they knit their capelets. :) Actually, it still is fun, thanks to Ravelry! :) I have worn this FO a lot!
