365.271 (grow! grow! grow! grow!)

365.271 (grow! grow! grow! grow!) by Mary-Heather.
I planted seedlings today for my summer garden! I'm just a wee bit excited about it. Growing food! From seeds! To eat!

Nature is awesome.

Yay yay! I dug up part of my future garden bed today, but then it was hard so I stopped. I might be too lazy for food production.

Mary-Heather, not contrary, how does your garden grow? Very well, I hope. :)
We planted some seeds this week, the rest get planted this coming week. I am excited too, I love growing our food.

I'm doing square foot gardening - no digging! Just build a raised bed and put soil in it. I don't think our existing soil would be so good for food - it is *SO* sandy.

Awesome! I planted some seeds for mini peppers, spring onions, rosemary and thyme the other day. :) No seedlings yet, but I'll try to be patient! Good luck with your garden. :)

I have a (slightly) raised bed! But it is full of horrible grass with roots that WILL NOT DIE. I'm digging it all out and putting in new dirt.

Yay! I need to plant some seeds for the things I couldn't find at our local nursery, but I have a container garden for the first time in a couple of years. Your seedling markers are too cute!

very awesome! We have plans for a garden too...but we have to wait until our little sprouts get a bit bigger before we can really dedicate the time to it.

: you could put cardboard over the grass if you don't want to do the digging-- it will smother the weeds.

are you doing the totoro dance here, mary-heather?

It's a little more intensive than weeds at this point. But I am going to do the newspaper thing before I put new dirt over the bed too--hopefully it'll discourage this stuff from coming back.
