In the Trees

In the Trees by martytdx.
Dark-eyed Junco - male
Junco hyemalis

I don't get many chances for shots of juncos in trees - usually they are scrounging along the ground.

nice one, they are prolific here in winter and appear very comfortable in our prairie Canadian winters; this morning we have -30 Cesius with windchill temps at -42 Celsius, chilly, like I say!

Wow - that is not 'chilly'; that's Hell-on-Earth in my mind! Of course, I'm not a big fan of the cold in the first place...

Okay, to be honest, ragingly jealous of the clarity! *sigh*

Thanks, everyone!

IIG - I owe it all to my wife's lens: that 300mm prime lens is fantastic!

He's a cute fluffy one, too. Great colors and textures on the feathers.
