Turkey Sammich

Rosemary-Garlic Bread
mayo, salt & pepper
stuffing, mashed potatoes & gravy
white-meat turkey
turkey skin (if avail)
other slice of bread
Turkey Sammich by martytdx.
The best thing about turkey dinners are the sandwiches afterward. In my world, the perfect turkey sandwich (or "sammich") has white meat turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and - if available - some skin from the turkey, all stuffed between two pieces of toasted bread with salt, pepper and mayo.

In this case, all of the above ingredients were there, with the added bonus of rosemary garlic bread. Deee-lish.

I hope everyone out there had a good Thanksgiving.

If you've got another one of those, I'll send you my address. I agree, and that one does look delicious. Enjoy.

Sure - I'll feed y'all. I mean, if you're all out here, it gives me an excuse to play hooky and go birding - and that's well worth a few turkey sammiches.

That's a Dagwood sammich. Awesome - I've never thought to put the whole Thanksgiving meal on my sandwich. But you left off the sweet potatoes and green beans. LOL.

To all - thanks, I just had sandwich #3, although they haven't been as photogenic. But feel free to stop by for a snack - we had a 20-lb. bird for the 3 of us (and Blair goes back to college tomorrow).

@Val Ann & grahamsj3 - feel free to modify as needed. I personally don't mix fruit and meat, so the cranberry has to be on the side for me. I don't do sweet potatoes, and veggies ruin the effect (too healthy) so I usually leave it nice and sloppy, as shown. ;-)

This gave me a good laugh - that bit of skin in the front sort of looks like some sort of large worm though ;-))

Worm? Hmmm... well, even if you are skin-averse, this sandwich is still a good choice for those Thanksgiving leftovers. Although, we've been talking about making another turkey so that I can make more sammiches!!
