Superstar!

Finally getting back to processing some of my images from the parade. I'm still sick that I didn't bring a spare battery for the Nikon, and had to relent to using my iPhone. This was the last shot I could with the Nikon before the battery died. Yes, just before the players arrived (of course).

Yeah, I know - but it was a last minute thing to take my camera. I even picked up my camera bag and thought that I didn't want to have to drag it through the crowd. And my camera had three bars showing - must have been a LOW three bars.

Don - I actually have 3 batteries, but I walked out of the house without them. Because it was a last minute decision, I made some bad choices. But I've seen the error of my ways, and I'm on the 12-step program.

The first step was to admit I forgot the battery. Then I denied I had forgotten the battery. Then I was angry that I had forgotten the battery...

One would think that 3 bars would be enough juice for at least a few dozen shots. My D80 will run all day on 3 bars. Maybe that particular battery is going bad. They don't last forever, unfortunately.

@grahamsj3 - I would have thought, but then again, it could have gone down to 2 bars just after I looked at it. Strangely, the D200 seems to always take a while to get to 3 bars, then quickly drops from there. I hope it's not a bad battery, but I have 2 others so if it is, it's not a tragedy. Unless, of course, you forget the other 2...
