Another pair of mating darners. It's funny, because when I first arrived at this mucky pond area, I put a few reeds into the mud hoping to attract some of the dragonflies that were around the place. Nothing came for the first half-hour, but just as I was leaving, I was lucky enough to spot this pair using one of the 'sets' I created.

Shepherd - I didn't bring the reeds, I just took nice stiff reeds at the end of the water and put them in the mud. I've done it before with mixed success with skimmers, but this is the first time it worked with a dragonfly as big as this.
