What A Pair

Great Egret
Ardea alba

I took over 300 pictures yesterday at Forsythe - only 277 made it home, and only 25 survived the first two cullings. Not my best day of photography (especially compared to the beautiful shots Shari got). But there were a few nice ones in the mess, I suppose.

But now I see, a sweet and lovely shot of this wonderful wetland pair.

I'm like that too sometimes. I get all excited about what I'm seeing and imagine that my camera can record what the binoculars allow me to see....*sigh*

IIG: Sometimes it all syncs up ... and sometimes it can be darn frustrating. It ebbs and flows - maybe next time will be a lot better.

Shawn - actually, the greenheads were more annoying to the dogs than us. I would rate them at a 5.5 -- plentiful, but deterred by the bug spray (last time we were there, NOTHING stopped 'em).
