Wilson's Pharalope
Red-necked Pharalopes
Pharalopes by martytdx.
Wilson's Pharalope (left) - Phalaropus tricolor
Red-necked Pharalopes (right) - Phalaropus lobatus

Not a great shot, but not too bad from what seemed like a mile away. Luckily, we were treated to a scoped view of these cool shorebirds, a first for both Shari and I. Now I just have to get them closer to shore for a picture.

Have you seen my group "bird blobs" group? It was designed for those exciting shots that are meaningful even if they are not exactly, uh, crisp...
In my book, this is an awesome shot!
