Femme Fragile

Femme Fragile by martytdx.
Fragile Forktail - female
Ischnura posita

After some long weeks, I finally got out to do a little shooting. Not too much to see, but at least I got to play with the macro lens a bit. And only 7 days until vacation!

A beauty Marty, have a great time on your vacation and take lots of photos, I bet this lens gets used alot, although you did so well with the 80-400mm macro you have, lol. Now you really have to stalk your prey, wonder where your headed, we just got back from a few days in Oregon, not the coast, central Oregon.

Glad you were able to get out and take pics. This is a real winner. TACK sharp and wonderful horizontal pose on the grass. I love the Nikkor 105mm f2.8.....you sure did wonderfully here.

Really nice shot. All my 'macros' are with a 100-400 zoom at 400mm and at about 6'. My next lens will be a dedicated macro, probably around 100mm.

Thanks everyone - and sorry that I haven't been around much. Crazy work hours getting ready for the long (and much-needed) vacation.

Mim - everything you've heard is true. Awesome lens.
rwolfert - I highly recommend the Nikon 105mm f/2.8 if you have Nikon.

Beautifully captured - you're correct about the fragile part. Such a wonderful image. I'm still practicing using my 100mm Canon macro lens. Not always easy.
