Valentine's Bridge (cont.)

I cannot say I would normally go with such an angle, but something I really liked about it. I used the Fisheye on this; although for future reference will have to keep an eye on the bright bits as its not possible to use my ND filters with it. I could not be asked to setup the tripod otherwise I would have bracketed and blended the exposures.

the effect you get with a fish eye is sooo cool, this bridge is back open now is it? Been closed off for ages.

oh and I don't think the bright bits matter that much

    Cheers guys!

Paul - Yes, its back open now (for a while now, I think). I had previously visited a couple of times but found it closed off.

i feel like i'm on a luge course!
i bracket hand held- photoshop can align the shots, you just have to be willing to lose a little of the sides perhaps...

martin - never seen a fisheye used this way... and i think it's awesome... introduces curves where there were none before... and the weird angle really works in this case...

I know what you mean about the bright parts but it still looks fine to me. You make me want to get a fisheye sooner than later!

Love the curve its given to the building. The over exposed bits are fine I don't think they distract the eye too much in this shot as the eye is drawn over to those buildings.

Fish-eye is fun to try but difficult to master. You did a great job here.

Awesome. I'd love to have a fisheye in my arsenal.

I love the angle too -- changed it up a bit. We have a bridge here that is similar and it is very hard to photo it face on.

I like this one - cool angle, the blown bits don't detract too much.

This a corker too, it's the oblique angle that does it for me!!

Really love this - all that shiny steel, and those wonderful curves. I've been considering a fisheye, and this helps the cause!
