Red Rose

Red Rose

My daughters and I had a girls' day out on Saturday. We drove to Roanoke, Virginia, and visited the Mill Mountain Park Zoo and the Roanoke Star, and then we drove around downtown Roanoke to try to find some interesting buildings we had seen from the highway. We all took lots of pictures. We had such a great time just being together that we may make this a monthly event, schedules permitting.

This very friendly little Tufted Deer spent several minutes just licking the hand of this young boy.

This Burmese Python is amelanistic (similar to albino), which is why it is patterned with yellow instead of brown.
