What's Down Below?

What's Down Below?

A second shot from my first shoot in the water - only got two shots really - its much harder than I thought in the water. Anyway, this kid was happily standing on a submerged rock in the middle of Bronte's Bogey Hole, in between sets that roll in.

Looks better on black so press L or click on the image.

Duck Diving, Bronte

Duck Diving, Bronte

Back from the first underwater / in-the-water shoot I've done - pleased to say camera survived, and photographer now has a lot more respect for those who do this type of photogprahy well - its much, much harder than I thought!

Here, in the Bogey Hole at Bronte Beach, Sydney, a swimer comes up for air after ducking under a smallish 2 to 3 foot wave. You can see Bronte Baths in the background, with kids deciding to jump in or not.

Comments as always appreciated, but please no flashy award codes.

Looks best up large on black, so press L to see it in all its glory.

Broken Pier, Rose Bay

Broken Pier, Rose Bay

I've had this shot in my mind for a few weeks now - well since I walked past the wharf I fished off as a kid in Rose Bay and saw it has been cut off from the shore. Tonight gave me the perfect opportunity, with rain tumbling down (as it has here all summer) and dusk fast approaching.

With camera, tripod and filter in tow, I zipped down only to realise after a one handed set up (the other holiding the umbrella) I had left my remote at home! So with one hand clutching the umbrella, the other manually holding down the shutter for 345 seconds, I got the shot I wanted.

Looks best on black, up large so press "L".

Comments are much appreciated, but please no copy and paste award codes, I just don't see the point!
