Noy and Mar in Cavite
Senator Benigno S. Aquino III and Senator Mar Roxas re-enact the declaration of independence by the late President Emilio Aguinaldo, great-grandfather of Cavite Rep. Joseph E.A. Abaya (behind Aquino, in yellow shirt) on the Independence Balcony in the Aguinaldo Shrine in Cavite Friday as the two Liberal Party standard bearers barnstormed the province in one of the last legs of their campaign for the May 10 national elections. Aquino and Roxas are widely predicted to win the May 10 elections as they have consistently trounced their rivals for President and Vice-President in pre-election surveys on voter preferences despite an intense black propaganda campaign against the two LP bets, including intrigues designed to split voter support for each of them. Both have pledged to give the country independence from the malady of corruption and bad governance and prioritize ordinary people's needs over elite interests
