Blue Jay on peanut feeder Jan 2011
The last couple of snow storms have left us with permanently cloudy skies so I was hopeful when I saw the sun rise with muted pinks and oranges after this storm. Alas the sun and blue skies were to disappear shortly after this shot, replaced by the cloudy gray of winter. Thankfully, the blue skies stuck around to compliment the colors of this Blue Jay. I shot this picture from the comfort of my computer desk which is located in a big bay window in the kitchen. I had planted this tree years ago with the intent to hang feeders within view from the kitchen. I have spent HOURS marveling at these winged wonders through out every season... ENJOY the view!
